The Department of Spanish & Portuguese Studies at the University of Florida offers the most comprehensive M.A. and Ph.D. programs in Hispanic Linguistics available in the southeastern United States. Eight full-time faculty members in the Department are engaged in teaching and research in Hispanic Linguistics. Our students typically major in Bilingualism, Second Language Acquisition, Sociolinguistics, Psycholinguistics, and Historical Linguistics.
